The name of the garden where Jesus went to pray before he got arrested.
Gethsemane
This means "making things right" or paying the penalty for a sin.
Atonement
This Gospel makes sure everyone knows Jesus was innocent, even the guy on the cross next to him.
Luke
The guy who betrayed Jesus with a kiss in the garden.
Judas
The Jewish court that accused Jesus of blasphemy.
The Sanhedrin
The word for being made "holy" or "acceptable" in God's eyes again.
Justification
In this Gospel, Jesus is totally in control of everything and is "exalted."
John
The High Priest who organized the trial against Jesus.
Caiaphas
The fancy word for "paying the price" or "buying back" humanity from sin.
Redemption
A fancy word for healing the relationship between God and people through Jesus.
