Power based on a leader's position within formal structure of an organization.
What is formal influence?
Ensures that appropriate standards of conduct are maintained by everyone who is a part of the business and with anyone affected by the business.
What are ethical business practices?
Analyzing information, setting goals, and making decisions about what needs to be done.
What is planning?
These people are specialists with responsibilities for specific parts of a company's operations. (7.1)
Who are middle managers?
This is what position in baseball I used to play.
What is shortstop?
The important principles that will guide decisions and actions in the company.
What are core values?
The process of accomplishing the goals of an organization through the effective use of people and other resources.
What is management?
The way a manager works with and involves employees.
What is management style?
This stems from the personal trust and respect members have for the leader. (7.2)
What is identity influence?
This is the pet goose's name.
What is Marvin?
The effort to direct and lead people to accomplish the planned work of the organization.
What is implementing?
The way people get along with each other.
What is human relations?
Identifying and arranging the work and resources needed to achieve the goals that have been set.
What is organizing?
These people are the first level of management in a business responsible for the day-to-day work of a small group of employees. (7.1)
Who are supervisors?
This is my favorite event to watch during the Winter Olympics. (I got to wear the gold medal this group won back in 2018)
What is curling?
All of the activities involved in obtaining, preparing, and compensating the employees of a business.
What is staffing?
The ability to motivate individuals and groups to accomplish important goals.
What is leadership?
Power resulting from the personal characteristics of a leader rather than the formal structure of an organization.
What is informal influence?
This sort of influence results from the leader's ability to give or withhold rewards. (7.2)
What is reward influence?
This is the only class grade I do not teach in the 1st semester.
Who are the 7th graders?
Enables a person to affect the actions of others.
What is influence?
Determines to what extent the business is accomplishing the goals it set out to reach in the planning stage.
What is controlling?
This describes the reason a business exists and what it wants to accomplish. (7.3)

The combined use of tactical and strategic management is known as this. (7.1)
