What is Culture?
Child under 3 experiencing developmental delays in one or more areas of cognitive, physicals, communication, social or emotional, adaptive developmental.
What is Early Intervention?
Pre- referral strategy to determine whether a pre- comprehensive assessment for special education is warranted
What is Screening Measures?
A set of congruent behavior's, attitudes and policies that come together in a system, agency or among professionals that enables that system, agency or professionals to work effectively in cross culture situations.
What is Cultural Competence?
Intensified support, does not attend general education classes, individualized support
What is Tier lll?
Before a child can receive special education services for first time , full and individual evaluation must be done to see if child has disability that is eligible for special education
What is Initial Evaluation?
The tendency of a test to favor the cultural and/or ethnic background of the people who designed it at the expense of people from diverse backgrounds
What is Cultural Bias?
interventions or treatment approaches that have been scientifically demonstrated to be affective
What is Research Based Intervention?
Performs the evaluation of child for a suspected disability and makes recommendation to eligibility committee
What is MDT?
Assessments that unfairly penalize or impact students based on their personal characteristics, such as race, gender, socioeconomic status, religion and place of origin
What is Assessment Bias?
Refers to the intensity and accuracy in which instruction and intervention is implemented
What is Fidelity?
Every three years evaluation for Special Education
What is Tri-Annual Evaluation?
