What is Magis?

The Regis DPT curriculum provides this list and includes items such as responsibility, effective use of time and resources, use of constructive feedback, and stress management.
What is Professional Behaviors?
Sharing gifts, pursuing justice, and having concern for the poor and marginalized.
What is Women & Men for and with Others?
Primary regard for or devotion to the interest of patients/clients, thus assuming the fiduciary responsibility of placing the needs of the patient/client ahead of the physical therapist’s self interest.
What is Altruism?
This goal is guided by “Transforming society by optimizing movement to improve the human experience.”
What is the APTA Vision 2020?
These are the 3 core values that represent Principle #2: Physical therapists shall be trustworthy and compassionate in addressing the rights and needs of patients/clients.
What are Altruism, Professional Duty, and Compassion?
This experience will occur in several times throughout the program and involves working with nurses or pharmacists.
What is Interprofessional Professional Experience?
“Care for the individual person.” Respecting each person as a child of God and all of God’s creations.
What is Cura Personalis?
The commitment to meeting one’s obligations to provide effective physical therapy services to patients/clients, to serve the profession, and to positively influence the health of society

This semester is the first time you will complete the professional behaviors assignment
What is Semester 3?
These are the two core values that represent Principle #3: Physical therapists shall be accountable for making sound professional judgments.
What are Excellence and Integrity?
Leadership, communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills are examples of this type of professional skill
What is soft skills?
Developing the whole person. Integrating all aspects of our lives.
What Unity of Heart, Mind, & Soul?
The promotion of a mutual trust between the profession and the larger public that necessitates responding to societal needs for health and wellness.
What is Social Responsiblity?

These are the two core values that represent Principle #5: Physical therapists shall fulfill their legal and professional obligations.
What are Professional Duty and Accountability?
This document, provided by the APTA, is a statement of conditions and performances that are essential for provision of high quality professional service to society, and provide a foundation for assessment of physical therapist practice.
What is the Standards of Practice for Physical Therapy?

What is Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam (AMDG)?
Steadfast adherence to high ethical principles or professional standards; truthfulness, fairness, doing what you say you will do, and “speaking forth” about why you do what you do.

Safety, Cultural Competence, and Educational Interventions are a few items from this measure.
What is the Clinical Performance Instrument?
This is the core value represented by Principle #8: Physical therapists shall participate in efforts to meet the health needs of people locally, nationally, or globally.
