What is MOLAR MASS
100
Law of Conservation of mass: Mass cannot be _________ or _________, merely _______ from one form to another.
What is Mass cannot be CREATED or DESTROYED, merely CHANGE from one form to another.
200
Where one element in a compound is being replaced with a single element.
What is SINGLE DISPLACEMENT

200
These are the components you use to calculate molar mass
What is ELEMENT, NUMBER OF ATOMS, MASS FROM PERIODIC TABLE, AND TOTAL
200
Identify what is wrong "How many grams are present in 12 moles of Rb?" 12 moles x 1moles/85 grams = 0.14 grams
What is THE UNITS ARE NOT CANCELLED OUT... units diagnol from each other must be the SAME.

What is 1,870.1 grams of NaCl
400
The benefit of conducting an experiment in an open and closed system.
What is a closed system shows how the mass is conserved as gas present. The open system allows scientists to collect other data if they choose to (temperature, etc...)
500
Where two compounds interact and exchange with each other, each exchanging one or more elements
What is DOUBLE DISPLACEMENT

How many moles are there in 87 grams of NaCl?
What is 1.49 moles of NaCl
500
Explain how conservation of mass is still shown in BOTH the open system and closed system.
What is... The reaction is the same in both experiments. A gas was produced in both experiments. However, the gas was released in an open system before the mass was measured, unlike in the closed system where the gas remained in the bag. Therefore, both systems have mass being conserved, but the open system is able to display it numerically.
