This early apostle and missionary recognized that the Law of Moses was established to turn people's hearts to Jesus, but that traditions among the Jews had transformed that worship into something perverted, which is why he recommended the converts not follow it.

This sign of a covenant was established with (at the very earliest) Abraham and his sons and their male posterity until the Savior came as a reminder that the Savior would keep his life perfectly judicious.
