Deep catchable fly ball gets hit to right field.
Where should the right fielder throw the ball?
2nd base
The runner on 1st base will return back to first and the runner on 3rd will most likely have enough time to get home.
It is best to hold the runner on 1st by throwing the ball to 2nd base, not letting her advance.

Where should the infield play?
Where should the outfield play?
Infield should scoot forward, so they are in a position to throw home after fielding the ball.
Outfield needs to scoot way up, so they can make the throw home after the girls tags up.
*If a ball gets hit deep into the outfield (over your head) it doesn't matter. Even if you caught it you wouldn't be able to make the throw to home in time anyway and the game would be over.

Runner on 1st has two options.
1. She could take a lead and return to the base. The 1st baseman would need to tag her.
2. Steal 2nd (listen to the 1st base coach)
*The batter will automatically be out because 1st base was occupied before the pitch and there are less than 2 outs, however stealing 2nd will most likely confuse the catcher causing hesitation to throw to 2nd or she may even throw to 1st base not realizing that the batter is automatically out anyway.

Concentrate on DOING YOUR JOB and what you can do to help the team
If you are an infielder not involved in a play what should you do?
Be at your base just in case there is a play there. Never stand around on the field in “no man’s land”.
Everyone has somewhere to be every play.
2 outs, runner on 1st base and dropped third strike.
What should the batter do?
What should the runner on 1st base do?
Batter should ALWAYS run to first base on dropped 3rd strike in all situations. With 2 outs (even if 1st base is occupied) the batter can advance if not tagged or thrown out.

2. Any pitch that paints the outside corner (curve, screw, change or fastball)
You are noticing upperclassmen using their age/grade to influence underclassmen in the wrong way.
What do you do?

Do what is right! If you know that it is destructive to the team say something.
Playing time, positions, consequences..... are decided by the COACHES not your teammates
Runners on 2nd and 3rd. Hard ground ball gets hit past the 2nd basemen and into right field.
Where (most likely) will the runners be when the right fielder fields the ball?
Where should you throw it?
Runner on 3rd (made it home) Runner on 2nd (rounding 3rd) Batter (ran through 1st and is waiting to see what you do with the ball)
Hit the cut off lined up for home. (1st baseman). 1st Baseman will listen to catcher as to what to do with ball.
We have a runner on 3rd base. You're up to bat and coach calls a bunt. You bunt right down the 1st baseline. Their 1st baseman fields the ball and is just standing there waiting for you.
What should you do?

What is your job as a hitter when you are on deck or even in the dugout?
1. Try and pick up tendencies of the pitcher. Does she always throw her change-up with two strikes. Does she elevate (throw ball up in the zone) with two strikes. The more information you go up to bat with the better chance you have to get a hit
2. Also watch what the ump is calling and not calling. Ex: calling rise ball high in zone
If a ball is hit in foul territory with one out.
You are a base runner, what should you do?
Always tag up and remain there until the ball hits the fielders glove.
If it is caught, you can still advance to the next base. Usually fielders are celebrating or not paying attention, so stay alert!
Listen to the base coach.
The count is 2-0.
What pitch might you want to throw?
*favorite/most consistent pitch
*need to get up in the count and avoid any free bases. Let the defense help you out.
We are in the field and errors are starting to happen. It is starting to get quiet.
How should you respond?
BE LOUDER! TALK MORE!! POSITIVITY IS CONTAGIOUS! Overcome the tension by having a discussion about the next play with a teammate next to you. This is a time to discuss specifics and what your next move will be.
*throw dirt, do a handshake, write something on your shoe or hand and look at it
