What is the "U" Process? This shows immigrants starting with high hopes and trying to become familiar with their surroundings. Then they question their decision for coming. and begin to notice how different their L1 and L2 cultures are. Once they make it through this phase, there is an upswing where adjustment takes place and the immigrants begin to truly feel comfortable.
