What is a Bill?
This group is responsible for creating ordinances at a local level. Assuming the Mayor doesn't try to veto them.

This person is the Chief Executive of a city. Responsible for supervising the police, enforcing the law, and serving as the city's ceremonial leader.
Who is the Mayor?
These elected officials, exist at both the Federal and State level. At the Federal and State level they are responsible for making laws. Only at the Federal Level can they approve treaties.

These groups meet in each House of Congress to debate, research, and vote on bills before they are voted on by all the members of their House of Congress.
What is a Standing Committee?
This person is the leader of the House of Representatives, 3rd in the line of succession for the Presidency. They are responsible for deciding who is on a committee in the House of Representatives.

This group temporarily combines members of both the House of Representatives and Senate to work out differences in similar bills.
What is a Conference Committee?
A county commission - responsible for creating ordinances, representing citizens of their district, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of those in their county, exists at this level of government.
