what makes Heartwood An Arts Centre
The HeARTwood Gallery is a popular space for local artists to show their art. There is always a waiting list! The Gallery is also a popular meeting room for Heartwooders and for other community organizations. Many art workshops, music rehearsals, exercise classes, events, celebrations and even a “coffee house” have taken place in The Gallery.

Briefly describe Salem's experience
-He was illiterate and never had a job -He reached out to the ALSO program through HWH and they not only taught him to read, but gave him the confidence he needed to succeed -He is now hired part time at HWH
