Began at 8:00 am on July 1, near the McPherson Barn. It was to the west beyond the barn as the Union Calvary met the Confederate infantry. At the McPherson Riolge, line heavy fighters spread from the north to south.
General Gourerneur K. Warren alerted the Union officers of the Confederates threats and they sent reinforcements to defend near Little Round Top.
The Union had soldiers from Devil’s Den to the Beach Orchards. They fired cannons on the South crossing the Rose farm until about 6:30pm.
At abut 7:00pm, the Confederates attached the Union at Spanger’s Spring. The next morning, the Confederates finally gave up after 7 hours of fighting!
