What are:

Calling in campers participating by phone, ensuring campers participating by phone are ready for each day of programming, updating Zoom to display the name(s) of camper(s) participating by phone, ensuring all Kesem staff (including Facilitator, Hosts, Counselors) are adhering to Kesem at Home Rules & Policies, completing Host/Facilitator training, in addition to General Participant training, monitoring and watches for signs of any serious issues (signs of abuse/neglect, suicidal ideation/self-harm), monitoring the public chat and ensures it is only being used for participation and positive conversations, calling and reports concerns and situations to Kesem’s Hotline

Two responsibilities for facilitators

What are: 

Leading the activity, Serving as subject-matter expert (whether it was planned by Facilitator, or another member), Coordinating with the counselors who will be supporting the activity, and informs them of the content, plan, and any support needed, Opening the call/session with review of rules and expectations, Cuing the Host for needs - setup of breakout rooms, participants to unmute/call on, etc, Fields programmatic questions from participants, Closes the call with a review, debrief, etc. based on what is best for the call/session, Completes Host/Facilitator training, in addition to General Participant training, Monitoring and watches for signs of any serious issues (signs of abuse/neglect, suicidal ideation/self-harm), Monitoring the public chat and ensures it is only being used for participation and positive conversations, Calling and reports concerns and situations to Kesem’s Hotline, As required, conducting follow-up calls under guidance of Hotline
