1) "Angel is the fifth of six children raised by a single mother from the Dominican Republic who worked multiple jobs and saved enough to bring her whole family to the United States in pursuit of the American Dream."

Firefleyes members believe that underserved children can flourish if they have an environment where they can find their own “voices” through music, sports, arts, books, and crafts.

These conversations allowed the residents to develop a greater sense of community and discover their shared values as they got to know each other better, and, how they wanted to spend their time together.
