SF- Study past and present societies, their views of the future, and possible outcomes for the world they live in.  Critically analyze future societies in order to see the problems that exist presently within the world. Explore symbolism, conflict, varying perspectives.  Research real scientific theories and advancements.  Make predictions for the future.

WL- Learn about diverse people with different perspectives in different places.  Analyze plot, conflict, and language. Enhance test-taking skills and strategies in prep for MCAS. Become familiar with the process of writing a research paper.

English lessons, activities, and assignments are designed to teach you how to read and interpret texts critically, gather data, evaluate sources, create and support an argument, develop reasoning and analysis skills, and communicate clearly and effectively.
