How should Students enter the classroom?
Calmly and quietly
What is the first thing students should do at the beginning of class?
Complete their bellwork.
What is the procedure for when the telephone rings or an announcement comes over the intercom?
Immediately become silent.
What should you do if you leave class for any reason?
sign in and out. Take the hall pass.
When is it okay to share your username and password?
NEVER
What is the procedure for when a visitor enters the classroom?
Let them see you at work; don't leave your seat or call out to the visitor.
Whose responsibility is it to get missing work and to set up a time to make-up a test/quiz?
The students.
What is the procedure for bringing cell phones at school?
1. If you bring a cell phone to school, turn it off and leave it in your backpack during the school day (including lunch and recess). 2. Please don't bring a cell phone to school unless you are prepared to comply with Rule #1.
Where do notes from home go?
Give them to the teacher as soon as you get to class.
What is the proper way to stand and walk in line?
In line up order at a zero voice level.
How do you know when it is okay to talk in class?
Look at our C for CHAMPS (Conversation level).
What is the procedure for entering the classroom (at the beginning of the day, after specials, or after lunch)?
Enter at a zero "0" voice level and go to your seat unless you've been given other directions.
When is it okay to get a drink of water?
Only during class water breaks.
What do you do if your Chromebook doesn't work?
Try to restart it using the on screen instructions (DO NOT USE THE POWER BUTTON). If it still does not work, raise your hand and tell the teacher.
When is it okay to come talk to the teacher when she's working with an individual student or a small group?
Never! Well, okay, if there is a life or death emergency I'd want to know about that.
How do you turn off or restart a computer or Chromebook?
Click on lower left hand corner and follow the on-screen instructions. NEVER push the power button unless you are turning it on.
