What is or new duck system?

If you lose your duck in the morning, you write your name on the board and take a star. If you lose all 3 stars, there is no brain break at 10:00. The system repeats in the afternoon,

A group with the teacher, workbook time with classmates, Read-to-self, and Lexia. Rotate quietly according to the slide.

What should you do when you come to the carpet for morning meeting? ALL THE STEPS!!

1.  walk calmly and quietly to a spot on the carpet. If Miss Mathis says, "morning meeting style" sit in a circle on the letters. 

2. Pick a spot away from the danger zones or people who will distract you.

3. Sit silently or respond quickly to all quiet signals. 

4. Listen for what we are doing.

Computers: What is Miss Mathis' computer policy?

If you are off task 1 time, you lose it for the day. If you are off task 2 times, you lose it for the week. If you are found off task 3 times, you lose it for up to a month. Miss Mathis has never had to take a computer for more than a day!
