What should you do if you need to sharpen your pencil?
Put your pencil in the air. When the teacher says it's okay, you may trade it out for a sharpened pencil. DO NOT sharpen it yourself :)
What is one way to get a teacher's attention without interrupting a classmate who is speaking?
Raise your hand
When I say "turn and talk", who should be talking and responding?
BOTH PARTNERS! Not just one and the other one agreeing. Both of your voices are just as important!
What can you do if someone is saying or doing mean things to you?
Talk to the teacher
What's the first thing you should do when you get a piece of paper?
Write your name on it!!!!
What should you do if you need to go to the bathroom? When is an appropriate time to use the bathroom?
Put your popsicle stick up and wait until the teacher says it's okay. You should use the bathroom during independent work time.
What should we look like in the hallway and why?
We should be in a straight, quiet line because we don't want to disturb other classes that are working hard.
How can you help a team member who is struggling with a task?
Ask if they need help, help them out, and if you are stuck, talk to the teacher
What happens if you do not get your work done on time? What happens if you are consistently not getting your work done?
You will stay in for recess club. If it is continuing to happen, I will contact your parents about it.
What should you do when you finish your work?
What should you do when you enter the school?
Grab breakfast if you want, head to class, put your backpack up, and start TIME stations or read independently.
What should you look like when you are actively listening? Why is that important?
Eyes are on the speaker, voices are off, and you are sitting up straight. It is important because it shows you are respecting the speaker and understanding what they are saying.
What does "active listening" in a group mean?
Looking at the speaker and asking clarifying questions or summarizing their point.
What happens if you are not getting your work done with your partner or group?
You will lose that privilege and work by yourself
What voice level should you be at during independent work and why?
You should be at a level 0 (no talking) because it can help people focus and get their work done on time. It helps you and others around you.
When we transition, where should you be when the timer stops?
At your seat with your materials ready on your desk.
What do you do when there is a fire drill?
Leave everything where it's at, line up quickly and quietly, and head outside quietly. When the teacher is calling out your name, just say "here" when the teacher calls your name
What can you do to encourage a team member?
Tell them they've got this, help them out if needed, provide them with good support!
What happens if we make smart choices?
We can earn Dojo points and we can take off sticky notes for our next reward!
If you are getting distracted, what should you do?

Charge your chromebook, clean your area, clean your desk, grab your backpack, and head to your seat.
Where should you go during a lockdown drill? What voice level should you be at?
To the side of the room against the cabinets. You should be completely silent.
What does it mean to be a good team member?
Be respectful and kind, say nice words, try your best, stay focused, and help each other out.
What are the steps of consequences if you are not following the expectations?
1st: warning, 2nd: reflection form, 3rd: contact home
