What must you do if you have a question?
Quietly raise your hand and wait to be called on, or wait for the teacher to come to you.
Demonstrate a level 1 noise level.

What is the first thing you should do when you get to class?
Read the DO NOW
What do you do when the teacher, or a student she called on, is speaking?
Pay attention to the speaker and be good listeners.
Who should you ask when you don't understand something?
The teacher!
How many times per class can you be mean, or rude to your classmates?
0 times. You are all on the same classroom team. Your fellow students deserve kindness, and so do you. My expectation is that you are kind to classmates.
When can you go to the bathroom?
After the first 5min, when it's not direct instruction, and before the last 5 min.
How should you stand in line before class?
Facing the transition teacher, lined up with a bubble in your mouth. Hallways are a level zero.
Are you allowed to eat in class?
NO WAY JOSE!!!
When I am teaching, our voices are at what level?
Zero!
What item is not allowed to be out at any time?
Gum and cellphones
What do you do if you need your pencil sharpened?
Raise your hand in the air, holding the broken or dull pencil.
What should teachers hear if the teacher sets the class noise to level 0.
Not a gosh darn word!
How many referrals can you get before you are assessed a lunch or after school detention.

When is a good time to approach Mr. Brown without raising your hand?
Trick question!! NEVER!! RAISE YOUR HAND!!
What should you use to write with on classwork?
A pencil. We DO NOT use markers, colored pencils, or crayons to write with unless we have a special activity for the day.
When Mr. Brown begins speaking, what should you do?
Stop what you're doing, be quiet and listen attentively.
What is the sign if you need a tissue?
Raise your hand and put your other hand over your nose.
How do we enter the classroom?
Walk quietly to your seat, follow any direction the teacher is giving, and check the DO NOW on the board.
You walk by another student whom you are beefing. As you walk by, you shut their laptop and the scream accidently breaks!!
Who has to pay to replace the laptop?
The student who slammed the laptop shut, NOT the student who owns the laptop.
How do you show Mr. Brown that you need to go to the restroom?
Hand Signal.
What is never permitted at school or in this class?
Gum and cellphones!
What does "follow directions the first time" mean?
Follow directions immediately; listen and do what the teacher asks you to do the first time.
Billy Jean is having a hard day!! She broke her pencil, Timmy TimTom threw something at her from across the room earlier, and she knows that her cat is at home sick. She doesn't feel like she can continue in class so she just puts down her head and starts crying. What would be a better way for Billy Jean to get support with her struggles and take a break?
We can't just put our heads down and cry. If you are struggling, raise a hand, ask a teacher for support, and I will contact outside help to get you a place to take a break (in a quiet place with a dean or teacher, for example.)
What happens if you refuse to do any work in Mr. Brown's Tech class?
1st warning, 2nd warning and dojo loss, Loss of more dojos a referral to the dean and a call home.
Demonstrate a noise level 2.
Should be having a normal conversation without raising his voice.
Timmy Tommy McTimtom brings his laptop, and his pencil to class. What would we need to check to make 100% sure Timmy is actually prepared for class?

Raise your hand to be called on to move, Stand up, walk over to him, and hand it to him nicely.
What happens if you are involved in an argument that grows into a physical altercation?
Level 2 Dean referral, detention, and other consequences as decided by the Deans.
