Bathroom Rules
Rule 1: What sign do we use to ask to go to the bathroom?
(Show hand signal)
Where do you line up in the classroom?
You line up on your number spot.
What should students do when walking into the cafeteria for lunch?
Stay in their line spot, wait quietly to get food.
Sit criss- cross, mountain or mermaid on our assigned circle spot.
By always walking.
Rule 2: What do you do after you give the signal?
Take the pink pass by the door and put it around your neck.
How do you line up in class?
You face forward, hands to self, walking calmly.
How do you get your food?
Use 2 hands to get your blue tray. Pick your food items quickly. Walk to sit at your assigned tables.
If someone is talking to you at the carpet during learning time what should you do?
Ignore them or give them a quiet signal or stop sign.
What is a teacher only space in the room?
The kidney shaped table.
Rule 3: What do you do after you get the pass?
Walk calmly in the hallway to the bathroom.
What should walking in the hallway look like?
Quiet, facing forward, hands to self, 2 lines, right behind the person in front of you.
Where do you sit in the cafeteria and what do you do when you get there?
You sit at your assigned tables. You focus on eating your food responsibly.
If I want to talk or share an idea what should I do?
Raise my hand.
What are the expectations for working at your desk?
Focus on work, level 1-2 voice, stay in your seat.
Rule 4: What do you do at the bathroom?
Use the bathroom quickly, wash hands, use 1 paper towel and walk straight back to class.
What should the noise level be in the hallway?
Level 0
What do you do if you want to recycle?
Show the recycle sign.
If Mrs. Gibson is reading a story or teaching a lesson what should you do?
Sit quietly on your spot with eyes on the speaker.
If you hear an attention signal what is your job?
Repeat the signal, freeze, empty hands, quiet body, eyes on the teacher.
Rule 5: What do you do when you get back to class?
Hang the pass back up.
What do we do when we line up at specials?
Run across the playground, line back up in 2 lines, walk in silently ready to listen to directions at specials.
When you are finished recycling what is your job?
Sit back in the SAME table spot and wait calmly until Mrs. Gibson says to line up. (If you have a job- do it)
What should it look like or sound like to turn and talk to my partner at the carpet.
