What should it sound like when I enter the room. 

There can be quiet talking, but there should not be yelling, screaming, fighting, et cetera.

What does it look like to be safe in a classroom? 

* We are not touching, poking, hitting, biting, or hurting others in any way. 

* We are not bullying others. 

* We are not throwing things. 

* We are not running around the room.

Where do I turn in work on paper?

The tray labeled with my class number and day. It is on the counter.

Where do my phone, airpod, smartwatch, and other devices go during a quiz or test? 

In my assigned pouch.

What happens if I talk during a quiz? 

I fail the quiz.

What should it look like when I enter the room?

I look at the board, grab what I need, sit in my assigned seat, and begin my bell ringer.

What does respect look like in the classroom? 

* We use appropriate language. 

* We are not bullying or name-calling. 

* We listen when someone is talking. 

* We do not damage our things or other people's things. 

* We listen and participate in class.

Where do I turn in late work that is on paper.

The late tray. It is also on the counter.

Can I use my personal device to complete work in class? 

No-- if your laptop isn't working you need to go to technology help.

What happens if I cheat on or plagiarize an assignment? 

I receive a zero and must redo it with Mrs. N on paper.

What should I grab every day?

I should grab my workbook every day.

What does responsibility look like? 

* I admit when I make a mistake, and I do my best to fix it. 

* I bring the supplies I need every day. 

* I study for tests and quizzes. 

* I work during work time. 

* I turn in my work on time. 

* I ask questions when I need help.

What do I do if I turn in something late, but it is assigned online? 

I email Mrs. N that I finished the assignment. I include the assignment name.

What happens if I have my phone out in class? 

I get an automatic referral, and Mrs. N will reach out to my parents.

Will Mrs. N contact home about behavior problems and failing grades? 

Yes. I will also reach out to coaches and activity sponsors.

Can I sit somewhere other than my assigned seat?

No! This can earn you a referral.

What happens if I use words that are aimed at hurting a specific group of people?

Where can my phone be during class? 

My backpack or my assigned spot on the holder. IF WE ARE TAKING A TEST OR QUIZ, IT GOES IN THE ASSIGNED SPOT IN THE HOLDER.

What happens if I am tardy?

I am locked out and must go to a tardy sweep station before I can enter the class.

What does open-mindedness look like?

* I listen to people's reasons for thinking something, even if I do not agree. 

* I disagree respectfully, meaning I do not yell or insult people I disagree with.

What happens if I refuse to work? 

* I will fail the class 

* I will receive consequences in the office. 

* I will get a call home.

What must I do if I want to leave the room? 

Fill out an E-Hall Pass AND wait for Mrs. N to accept it.

Can I have food in class?

Yes, BUT it cannot be a distraction, and there cannot be a mess. Otherwise, everyone loses the privilege.
