What do you need to bring in with you in the morning?
How many books should be in your book box? Why it is important to stick to this many books?
3-4 picture books and 1-2 chapter books. It's important because our book boxes won't break and we aren't hogging books that others want to read.
When it's time to go in the hallway to get ready for recess, what should it look and sound like?
Go right to my hook, get my stuff on quickly, save talking for outside time, focus on what needs to get done, then come in the classroom and line up quietly.
What should you do when Ms. Jillian is teaching and/or talking? What if it's someone's turn to speak?
Stop, look, and listen carefully.
What are the expectations for indoor recess?
Find a quiet activity to do. No running around the room and being loud.
Model for the class how to walk into the classroom in the morning.
Walk in quietly, put your homework book and lunch box away, go to your seat and put you shoes on. Work on morning work quietly.
Model for the class what reading time should look and sound like.
Wash your hands, get books quickly, come back to desk, start reading right away, read the whole time, no talking.
Treat them with the same respect as Ms. Jillian. Always do our best!
What should we NOT do when we are using the whiteboards?
Write and draw things that are not related to the math questions.
How can we be safe in our classroom?
walking instead of running, washing hands, keeping things clean and off the floor
What do we do when O Canada comes on?
Stop and stand at attention showing respect. Sing or stand quietly.
When is it okay to interrupt Ms. Jillian and her reading group?
If there is an emergency. That is it!
How should we treat our classmates?
The golden rule. Treat them as I want to be treated. Show kindness and love with our words and actions towards each other.
What do we do if we don't know how to spell a word during writing?
Use our spelling dictionaries. If it's not there, do our best to sound it out.
What is the procedure for using chromebooks?
Be gentle with them, only do what is asked (no youtube or other websites), clean them and plug them in properly at the end of class.

What are the winter rules for the playground?
No throwing snow, no destroying other forts, snowmen, and structures. Have fun!

Never blurt out, interrupt, call Ms. Jillian's name, or follow her around the room.
How should we keep the inside of our desks?
Neat and organized, no loose papers so we can find things quickly.
What is our lunch routine?
Wash hands, get lunch, go right to microwave line if it's needed, sit at your seat, eat and watch Veggietales!
When is it okay to use the bathroom?
We can use the bathroom during work time, not when Ms. Jillian is teaching or explaining instructions.
Do not wait in line. Wait at your desk and when you see that it's free you can go.
