What do I do if I need to sharpen my pencil?
Raise your hand and get permission. If we are in the middle of an activity, I may have to wait.

It is a movement exercise that gets our brains ready to focus again.
What happens if I chose to break a classroom expectation?
There are consequences for my actions. That may be sitting out part of recess, walking, changing my color, or going to see another adult in the building to discuss my actions, phone call home.

Raise my hand. Wait to ask the teacher for help.

What is expected of me when I am packing up?
Be where I am supposed to be, put my papers in my blue folder, put my blue folder in my backpack, stack my chair, and pick up the room until my teacher tells me to line-up.

Only get it out when the adult has instructed you too, do not change my passcode or backgrounds, only use it for what the teacher has instructed you to, no drinks near it.

When you are frustrated, angry, or upset. Never let your emotions decide your actions.
What is the pencil challenge? How do you win a prize?
The pencil challenge is keeping the 3 pencils Ms. Aceto gives you for the whole week. You win a prize if you keep all 3 of your pencils in good condition-no bite marks, no tiny pencils, only gently used pencils.

What happens if I continue to break the same expectations after having conversations with the teacher?
Ms. Aceto will talk with your parent. If necessary, Mr. Frye will be told and we will have your parent in to discuss the problem with you.
What do we look like in line?
Hands to myself, facing forward, voice off, directly behind the person in front of me.
What is expected of me when I am sitting on the rug?
Choose to sit by people I will not be tempted to talk to, I am sitting criss-cross applesauce, my hands are in my lap, I am not talking unless asked to, I'm participating in the activity.
What is the Golden Tray Award? What rewards can we earn from this?
The Golden Tray Award is the reward we get for getting as many stars at lunch as a class. Lunch with Mr. Frye, extra recess, pajama day, funny dress day.
What is expected of me during morning announcements?
I stand for the Pledge of Allegiance and our school pledge. I sit in my seat with my voice completely off through the entire announcements.
