If you've already received a warning, the next step is to serve a recess or lunch detention, where you will be responsible for writing a reflection on your behavior. You may also receive a call home.

What should I do if I'm done with my school assignments?

Double check to make sure that you've finished your assignments with the best quality of work that you can do. If you're truly finished with all your work, you can read silently or do an activity on Student Choice Board.

What is the bathroom procedure? 

One boy and one girl at a time. No using the restroom at the start of class or while the teacher is giving important instructions. Always sign out.

Respect others, put forth your best effort at all times, be prepared for class each day, follow directions when given, and take responsibility for your actions.

If your behavior does not change after serving a detention, you will get an office referral and a call home.

If it's the beginning of class, you need to wait until after the Do Now and the teacher's instructions. Then, you can raise your hand and ask to go.

As soon as you hear or see the signal, stop what you're doing, look at the teacher, and listen for directions.

Check the whiteboard to see how to earn PBIS points for the day. Today's goal is to quietly do the Do Now and raise your hand/don't shout out.

Why are there consequences for breaking rules? 

Because establishing a culture of respect and academic achievement in the classroom is the only way to make sure that everyone is safe and able to reach their goals.

When should I charge my computer? 

At home. You shouldn't be charging your computer at school. There are only a few charging stations in each classroom.

What is a referral?

A referral is a written request to the office alerting them that a students' behavior is aggressive, out of control, or excessively defiant. The Vice Principal then calls a meeting with the student and their parents.

What if my computer is broken? 

Tell your teacher. Your teacher might give you permission to go to the library to get a new laptop.
