What should you do if you make a mistake during a lesson?
Learn from it, correct it and try again.
You are stuck on a task. Name two things you should try before giving up.
Reread the instructions and try a strategy/resource; then ask a peer or teacher for help.
Explain the difference between being ready to learn and simply being quiet.
Being quiet means making little noise; being ready to learn means listening, thinking, participating and having everything prepared.
Two people in your group disagree. What is one respectful way to solve it?
Listen to both sides, speak calmly and work towards a fair solution.

A new student joins our class and does not know anyone. What could our class do to help them feel included?
Welcome them, introduce ourselves, include them in activities and help them learn the routines.
You have several tasks to complete and only a short amount of time. How would you organise yourself?
Prioritise the tasks, make a plan, manage the time and work carefully without wasting time.
You notice that your behaviour is distracting other people. What should you do without waiting for the teacher to tell you?
Recognise the problem, stop the distracting behaviour and refocus independently.
Someone makes a mistake and other students begin laughing. What should you do?
Do not join in; support the person, remind others to be respectful and seek adult help if necessary.
How can a Year 6 student be a positive role model for younger students at BWA?
Show responsibility, kindness and good behaviour, and help younger students when appropriate.
What do you think makes a class go from being a group of students to being a strong team?
A strong team supports one another, communicates, respects differences, shares responsibility and works towards common goals.

Read the feedback, identify what needs improving, make the changes and use the feedback in future work. Feedback helps us grow.

I would support my friend as a person but not support the wrong behaviour. I would encourage them to be honest and make things right.
