This classroom job requires a student to turn on and off the lamps, twinkle and classroom lights as needed.

Lamps are turned on and twinkle lights are plugged-in in the morning and unplugged/turned off at the end of the day.  

Light Inspector.

This student will remain at the back of the line every time we line up as a group. 

Caboose.

This person will be at the front of the line every time we line up as a group.

Line Leader.

These students will stand in line right behind the line leader when students line up to help hold the door as students walk through. These students will trade off who holds the door.  

Door Holders.

These students will bring the lunch bin to the home lunch bin to the cafeteria and return the bin when lunch is finished.

Lunch Helpers.

This person will check the sharp and dull baskets in the mornings after they finish their lunch count and sharpen pencils as needed.

Pencil Sharpener.

These students will take over the jobs of any students that are absent.  Make sure you know who is absent in the morning!

Substitutes.

These students will take pictures of the class with Ms. C's phone when asked.

Photographers.

These students will check the book bins in our classroom library during the mornings and unfinished work time to make sure the books are in the right bins. They will also carry the library book tub to Lockwood's Library on our library day (Tuesdays). 

Librarians.

This student will change the weather sign on our calendar each day depending on the weather. This student will right today's on the board next to the smart board. This student will help Ms. C change the calendar at the end of the month or season as needed. 

Calendar Helper.

This student will make sure the computer station is organized. This includes the charging station as well. This student can also help other students with their chromebooks as needed.

Computer Assistant.

This student will turn the smartboard on and off as needed. This student can also help Ms. C with any smartboard needs, such as erasing marks or switching the source.

Smartboard Assistant.

This student will make sure backpacks are hung up and the cubby area is organized. This student will also place an computers in the cubby area in the white bins by the window. 

Cubby Captain.

This student will erase the whiteboard at the end of each day, including the date. This student will also reset the attendence/lunch report. 

Board Eraser.

This student will be in charge of all errands that need to be run outside of this classroom such as walking a student to the nurse, taking an item to another teacher, or retrieving something from the office.

How often will Ms. C change the job chart?

Every 2 weeks.

These students will stay in for the first few minutes of lunch recess on Tuesdays and Thursdays to check desk and tool pouch organization. This student will give a PAWS ticket to each student who has an organized and the students will also put their name on the WOW board.  

Desk Inspectors.

These student are in charge of watering the plants in our classroom as needed. Each plant needs to be taken to the station with the first aid kit and watered, then taken back to the window. Don't forget Ms. C's hanging plant!

Botanists.

This student will complete tasks for the teacher such as handing out papers or supplies. In the morning, this student will put take-home papers in the correct cubbies and report the absent/lunch count to Ms. C. When it is time to go home, this student hand out cleaning wipes for students to wipe down their desks. Tasks may be added to this job as needed.
