Sign out to go the bathroom?
After asking to go to the bathroom, sign out on the sign out sheet with your name and the current time. Then you put a bathroom light on top of your desk until you return.
Be able to go to the calm down corner?
Anyone needing a minute to themselves, anyone needing to reset, or anyone given permission by Miss Joslin to work in the corner.
What is the first thing you should do when you get any paper assignment at your desk?
Write your name and student number.

Celebrate a classmate's birthday?
We write them birthday messages, sing them happy birthday and enjoy a special birthday treat if they choose to bring one in.
Sharpen your pencil?
Pencils don't get sharpened during the day unless I ask the Student of the Day to sharpen all pencils at the end of the day. If you need a specific colored pencil sharpened for you, Miss Joslin can do it.
When you hear the bell?
Stop what you are doing, look at Miss Joslin, and raise a peace sign in the air.
If you receive a class compliment?
A coin in the class jar. Depending on how well you do something depends on the price of the coin the class gets.

Get our ELA and Math materials?
One person from each table group gets them out of their table bin and takes them back to the group when Miss Joslin tells them to.
Be able to get a floor cushion?
Whoever gets called to get them first. Whoever misses out this time will get them the next time.
If you hear the fire alarm go off?
Get up quickly and calmly and immediately get in a nice straight line. VOICES OFF.
For having a clean desk when the desk fairy comes?
Either a small prize of some sort (mint) or $1.

Start with a clean and organized desk and have one pencil in your pencil holder. Your water bottle should be full.
