They will get an infraction (unless they are completing a class job) and may be counted absent

Complete it without being asked.

Clap and say "okay."
How should students signal that they need a new pencil?
Put their pencil in the air.
What happens if you receive 1 infraction?
The student will stay after class and initial their infraction.
What are students expected to have ready at their desk when they enter the classroom?
All their materials
How does Ms. Dollar handle attendance at the beginning of class?
She takes attendance while students complete the Do Now and does not answer questions until she is finished.
What should students do when Ms. Dollar says "Mirror Words"?
Say "Mirror words" and copy her words and gestures.
What does it mean if someone raises 2 fingers
They need a tissue
What happens if you receive 2 infractions?
The student will either change their seat, stay after class, or complete a behavior think sheet. This is their last chance to regroup and reflect away from the situation before Ms. Dollar speaks to their parents.
What time should students be seated by?
By the time the bell rings or before Ms. Dollar shuts the door.
What should students do if they were absent?
Check the absent bin and write absent for the Do Now's they missed.
Why does Ms. Dollar use call and response techniques in the classroom?
To quickly gain students' attention and ensure they are focused on her instructions.
What should you do if you need to throw away trash?
Hold your trash in the air and wait for Ms. Dollar to call on you.
What happens if you receive 3 infractions?
Parent/guardian contact will be made to solve the problem and prevent it from happening again. The student will either call their parent to tell them what they did or read over Ms. Dollar’s email before it is sent.

To ensure a focused and organized start to the day.
