What is the first thing you do when you arrive to school?

Report to the gym or homeroom class IMMEDIATELY.

We use the restroom as a class at our designated time, other visits ONLY IF IT IS AN EMERGENCY -- you then go quickly and return quickly

If you leave the classroom with permission, what do you do when you return to the classroom but the door is closed?

Knock hard 2-3 times to be heard in the classroom, but DO NOT pound on the door or knock incessantly -- understand it may take a minute for the door to open

You are not feeling well, what should you do?

Raise your hand, ask Mrs. Melson to go to the nurse, take the pass with you, and return quickly when finished

List some of the expectations for lunchtime.

1. Stand in line quietly while waiting to get your lunch

2. Clean up after yourself (table & floor)

4. Ensure you have what you need before you sit down, remain seated until your class is dimsissed

For the most part, library books will be taken care of through your ELA class.  Otherwise, speak with your homeroom teacher about when you might be able to go

Pick it up and throw it away - don't leave it for Mrs Melson or the custodians to pick it up!!!

Quietly and calmly with your hands at your side. Stay on the right side of the hallway for other classes/people to pass you.

Where should your cell phone be during the school day?

Your phone should remain in your backpack, bag or pocket on silent everyday at school.  Your phone should not be taken out during class, when you are in the restroom or any other time in the hallways or classrooms for any reason.

Quickly and quietly stand up and get in line. Walk quietly through the hallway to the doors by the 8th-grade restrooms, and line up next to the basketball court. Stand silently in line and wait calmly and patiently until we can return to class. Walk quietly and calmly back into the classroom and wait for instructions

Politely ask who it belongs to, if not claimed place it in the "Lost and Found" container
