Working by ourselves quietly and if you need help raise your hand.

Permission from your teacher or another adult.
Where is student materials in our classroom?
Students will keep them in their back packs; however, I do usually share things like: Markers, scissors, or glue.
If you need to leave your seat during class, what should you do first?
What is look at the CHAMP board to see the directions.
Where do you place your homework when you enter the classroom on Friday's?
On the homework shelf, on top of the white bookcase.
Where do you go before you come into Ms. Schiller's room?
Lined up outside her classroom at a level 0
How many students are allowed to speak at a time?
One

1. Follow all instructions the first time.
2. Respect the speaker
3. Keep hands and feet to yourself at all times

What is apologize and wait for them to finish speaking?
What are 3 key things you need to transition in the hallway correctly?
Line up quickly and quietly. Look straight ahead and keep your hands to your side.
When can we leave our seats?
When Mrs. Coleman or Ms. Jones gives us permission to.
When a classmate is upset or having an outburst, how can you handle it best?
1. Let the teacher know your classmate needs help.
2. Use kind words with them and give them space.
3. Focus on yourself to your best ability
Can we touch the things on Mrs. Coleman's desk whenever we feel like it?
No!
How can you show the teacher you are paying attention when they're speaking?
Stay in ready position and pay attention to the speaker.
When can you sharpen a pencil?
You don't! The pencil sharpener person will do it right after devotion.
What parts of the classroom are off limits?
Mrs. Coleman's desk and drawers (unless you have permission).
How do we handle Mrs. Coleman's books?
The supply person will put them back in the bin where they were and we handle them carefully so we do not destroy them.
When is appropriate to put our hands on others?
NEVER!!!
What do you do when someone says something unkind to you?
Ignore them, walk away from the situation if possible, and if it continues tell the teacher immediately.
What noise level do you enter the classroom in?
Zero
How do we put our computers back?
The computer person will make sure they are plugged in?
If we need to tell Mrs. Coleman something during class and she is busy teaching OR we don't feel comfortable having the conversation out loud, what can we do?
We write a note and put it in her mailbox for her to read.
What can we use to ask to get out of our seat for tissue or bathroom emergency?
The appropriate hand signals.
