When we are doing a task that requires a sharpened pencil, the teacher is not speaking, and you are not supposed to be having a discussion with your peers.

When you are completely finished your lunch, you can take your garbage and throw it out, clean off your desk, and place your lunch bag at your feet.
If you spill some food, where can you find the broom?
By the door!
What do you do when you have a question about classwork?
Look at the board for instructions, check your sheet for instructions, ask a friend, then ask the teacher.
Why do we need to walk quietly in the hallway?
Running can be dangerous, and speaking in the hallway can distract people from their learning.
What do you do when you return from the bathroom?
Use some sanitizer and place it back on the shelf.
What can you do if you are done your lunch early?
Speak with the people who sit around you, read a book, draw a picture
How should we behave while the teacher is reading to the class?
We can eat our snacks, listen quietly, and wait until snack is almost done to throw out our garbage/ask questions.

Describe what a clean hallway looks like.
Coats, sweaters, and backpacks on hooks, shoes on the shelf, papers and loose items in bins or bags, no garbage left behind
Look in other people's stalls, climb around, use way too much soap/toilet paper, leave garbage out, give people tattoos, have a conversation
