You will receive a warning! 

We will project our voices while speaking, but it is never appropriate to shout or scream.

My friend from across the table needs an eraser. Can I throw it over to them?

NO! Throwing is absolutely not tolerated in the classroom.

Raise your hand and ask to me if you can hand them an eraser.

I finished my work as quick as possible. What should I do?

Look over your work and practice being critical. Is there anything you can improve on?
Did you give it your best effort? Effort is the one of the most important criteria for grading.

If you finish early, you can always work on art homework or I will give you an early finisher.

There should only be 1 person at each sink.

No, you must only work on your paper unless it is a group project.

How long should I spend on my art homework?

You should spend a minimum of 30 minutes to an hour on your art homework.

I'm an excellent judge of how long you spend on your HW! Don't cheat yourself.

Can I take some art materials from the classroom?

You must ask me if you can borrow materials!

How long should I spend washing my hands?

You should not spend longer than 30 seconds washing your hands.

Getting Up

You must ask for permission to wash your hands, sharpen your pencil, or get a paper towel.

What happens if I get paint on myself or a classmate?
You will receive a warning for purposely getting paint on yourself or others. Please be aware of your uniforms and wear a smock.

What are two things I should strive for on my art homework?

1. Fill the page! No tiny drawings. Draw large!

2. 99% of homework assignments will require shading. Pay attention to values (light/dark).

Bonus: if you are drawing from life or from a photo, check your proportions for accuracy.
