Damage to Artwork or Sketchbook
You are responsible for your own work! Unintentional rip or smudges will affect your grade.
If you have too many books in your bag, your sketchbook cover or the spiral binding may tear.

There should only be 1 person at each sink.
When should we not doodle on the table paper?
3 answers
No doodling when:
1) the teacher is speaking
2) a classmate is speaking
3) presentations/videos
Can I help my friend by doing part of their drawing?
No, you must only work on your paper unless it is a group project.
How long should I spend on my art homework?
I'm an excellent judge of how long you spend on your HW! Don't cheat yourself.
How long should I spend washing my hands?

What happens if I get paint/water on myself or a classmate?
You will receive a warning for purposely getting paint/water on yourself or others. Please be aware of your uniforms. Always roll up long sleeves or ask for a smock.
Rules about Presentations
All eyes should be on the board.
There should be no side conversations,
doodling on the table, looking down,
or fidgeting with pencils.

What are two things I should strive for on my art homework?
1. Fill the page! No tiny drawings. Draw large!
2. 99% of homework assignments will require shading. Pay attention to values (light/dark).
Bonus: if you are drawing from life or from a photo, check your proportions for accuracy.
