What do you do when you want to talk in class?
By raising you hand quietly until you are picked or wait on random sticks.
What do you do when you first come in every day?
Hang up backpack, go to seat quietly, look at Smart Board for morning work assignment.
How do we line up for recess, specials, lunch, and restroom breaks?
Wait to be called, walk quietly to line. Face forward, no talking.
What do you do if you have a question when the teacher is at small group/back table?
Ask 3 before me! Ask 3 friends for help before asking the teacher.
Explain what you should do when Mrs. Ward says, "Give me 5".
Raise my hand, no talking, look at Mrs. Ward, no moving, and be respectful.
What does work time sound like?
Level 0, unless you have permission to talk, then level 1.
Where should you be during centers?
In your seat unless Mrs. Ward has given permission otherwise to sit somewhere else in the classroom.
What do you do if you finish your work early?
Read a book or go on to the next activity you have been assigned. (See centers chart on SmartBoard.)
How do I mark my lunch count?
Wait for Mrs. Ward to call my name and I tell her what I want; either hot, cold, salad, or lunchbox.
How can you show the speaker that you are giving them your full attention?
How do students respect other students things?
By not touching them or destroying them. If you want to borrow something or look at something, you need to ask nicely first. If they say no, respect their answer and ask someone else.
When can I use the bathroom?
During work time or center time. Not during lesson time. You still need to tell the teacher before you go.
How many people should be in the bathroom/closet area at one time?
ONE!
How do we act at small group table? What do you do when it's not your turn at small group?
You sit nicely in your chair, do small group work together, then walk back to your desk.
If it's not your turn at small group, you're doing work or playing a center quietly at your desk.
Where should you put work that is not finished?
In your work folder
How do you know what morning work will be in the morning?
Look at the slide on the smart board every morning
When can I sharpen my pencil?
During worktime or center time. Not during teaching or lesson time.
Where can you turn in your work?
Work folder unless Mrs. Ward has said to turn it in to the Turn In Tray.
What should you do if you are missing a supply in your pencil box?
Make sure it is not in any of the extra baskets, if it's not, then ask Mrs. Ward.
How can you be a kind friend at recess?
Taking turns, hands and feet to self, using nice words, including others in your games, etc.
How can you respect others?
By listening to them, taking turns sharing, using nice words, and safe bodies.
How do we line up to leave the room?
Wait until you are called, push in your chair, and walk to line without talking.
How do we walk back into the room?
What do you have to do when given permission to leave the classroom?

What should you do if you hear the doorbell ring?
Stop what I am doing, put my hands on my head, and wait for my teacher's directions.
