What do you do when you want to talk in class?
I need to raise my hand.
What do you do when you are finished with your assignment?
Work on missing work, ALEKS, Prepfactory, or some independent work.
Should I be talking during instruction?
No
What should I do during collaboration time?
Communicate with an inside voice. Work quietly with my partner only and not any other student in the classroom.
What do I do when the teacher is explaining a class or assignment?
I must pay attention in order to understand entirely what to do. Take notes.
Are you allowed to be on your chromebook during instruction?
No. only if the teacher gives permission.
Who do you need to trust and encourage first?
Yourself!
What should I do with leftover materials and any kind of trash while working in class?
I need to put them in the trash can at the end of class or between lesson times. Keep the floor neat and clean at all times.
Are we allowed to chew gum?
I will allow it until it becomes an issue. No popping of bubbles.
Are you allowed to have earbuds in class?
No. Put them away upon entrance to class.
Can you eat food and/or candy in the classroom?
No. Do not enter the class eating any food. This is a disciplinary action.
When can I use the restroom?
After first 10 min, before last 10 min, between transitions
What is the first action I take for talking and/or interrupting class?
First point of contact: Student Warning- one on one communication.
Second point of contact: Parent
Then becomes discipline referral
What is my responsibility within a group assignment or classwork?
It is my responsibility to do my best, and provide as much help for excellent results. Everyone must be responsible as a team member.
Are cell phones allowed to be sitting on your table during class?
No, they must be on silent and put away at all times.
What is the first thing you should do when you enter the class.
Find your seat and begin the opening bellringer quietly and independently. When finished, sit quietly.
Before you leave class, what should you do first?
Clean my space, put up supplies, and push in your chair gracefully.

What should you do when pairing with a clock partner?
Move gracefully and in a timely fashion. Find your partner, sit, and wait for instructions. You will have 30 seconds in transition. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
Are you allowed to have a drink in class?
Yes. You must have a lid on your drink.

When the bell rings, I will dismiss you.
When ALL calculators are put up.

What is mandatory to do if I am not clear with given instructions?
Raise your hand. Wait to be called upon. Ask questions.
What should not happen after the tardy bell rang and class has begun?
You should not be disrupting other students for supplies and pencils after the bell. When the bell rings to begin class, you should be prepared. This will result in disciplinary action.
