What do you do when you want to talk in class?
By raising you hand quietly until you are called on.
What do you do when you first come in to class every day?
First you move your magnet, turn in you blue folder if you have it and then look at the board for further instruction.
How do we line up for recess, specials, and lunch?
Wait to be called, walk quietly to line. Face forward, no talking.
What do you do if you have a question when the teacher is at small group?
Ask 3 before me! Ask 3 friends for help before asking the teacher.
Explain what you should do when Mrs. Bouffiou says, counts down from 3.
Stop what I'm doing, look at Mrs. Bouffiou and listen for insructions.
What does work time sound like?
Level 0, unless you have permission to talk, then level 1.
Where can you take a break in the classroom?
You may use the Zen Den for 5 min with teacher permission.
What do you do if you finish your work early?
Read a book or work on work from your may do folder.
What should I do if I don't have a pencil or my pencil is dull?
Quickly and Quietly grab a new pencil from the bin and place your dull pencil in the bin.
How can you show the speaker that you are giving them your full attention?
Give 5...ears listening, eyes watching, hands and feet are still, mouth closed.
How do students respect other students things?
By not touching them or destroying them. If you want to borrow something or look at something, you need to ask nicely first. If they say no, respect their answer and ask someone else.
When can I use the bathroom?
During work time, not during lesson time. You still need to ask the teacher before you go.
How many people should be in the bathroom at one time?
2 One boy and one girl
How do we act at small group table? What do you do when it's not your turn at small group?
You sit nicely in your chair, do small group work together, then walk back to your desk.
If it's not your turn at small group, you're doing work quietly at your desk or around the room.
Where should you put work that is not finished?
In your may do folder.
How do you know what to work on at the start of class?
Look at the slide on the smart board and/or listen for instructions from the teacher.
How should you treat the tools and activities at the Zen Den?
By only using the tool the way it is supposed to be used. That means no throwing, destroying, disrespecting, or taking the tools away from the Zen Den.
Where can you turn in your work?
On the table by the door in the Turn In Basket.
What should you do if you weren't in class the day before?
Nicely ask one of your table partners what you missed and work on it in your may do time.
How can you be a kind friend during class?
Taking turns, hands and feet to self, using nice words, including others in your group discussions, etc.
How can you respect others?
By listening to them, taking turns sharing, using nice words, and safe bodies.
How do we line up to leave the room?
Wait until you are asked to line up, then walk to line quietly.
How do we walk back into the room?
Walk in quietly and sit in your seat, wait for instructions from Mrs. Bouffiou
What do you have to do when given permission to leave the classroom?
Go directly to the place/person you have permission to go to, then come right back to class as soon as you're done.
What should you do if you hear someone speaking on the intercom?
Stop all talking and listen to any announcements, helping others to hear what is being said.
