All students accepted into ECHS shall be able to attend a class that is free from...?
physical and emotional harassment or abuse of any kind.
What do you do when class is over?
You wait for your teacher in an orderly manner.
Name 3 things students should do on a daily basis.
Use their agenda/ calendar, pay attention be an active participant in class, and review notes/complet homework each night.
Why are students required to use a clear back pack?
To decrease the possibility of a weapon being brought to school/ campus.
What do I do when the teacher is explaining a class or assignment?
I must pay attention in order to understand entirely what to do.
Can I use any cell phone during class or in the hallway?
No, it must remain in my bag and in silent mode at all times.
Who do you need to trust and encourage first?
Yourself!
What should a student do if they do not understand how to do something?
ask questions, ask google, ask your friends/ family.

What should I do if I know or have been told that a student has a weapon at school.
Report it to any teacher/ administration immediately.
How can you show the speaker that you are giving them your full attention?
Ears listening, eyes watching, seated appropriately.
Can you eat food in the classrooms?
Definitely not. Designated eating areas only.
When can I use the restroom?
During class change or at lunch time; not during class. In cases of emergency, students will have to sign out/in. (And no bathroom use allowed the first or last 20 minutes of class)
What should a student do if they become overwhelmed?
make a list/ schedule of thing to be done, ask for help if needed, use coping skills, use time wisely, etc.
What is my responsibility if/ when I feel that a student is not being kind?
It is my responsibility to communicate how that student is being unkind and if needed, ask for an adult to intervene.
How do you show respect for the school property?
By keeping my classroom and school premises in clean and neat conditions.
When entering the classroom, each student should...?
take your seat, have materials ready, and wait quietly.
During times of collaboration, I am expected to...?
be an active participant, a good listener, and respectful to my peers.
ECHS provides many supports to students that traditional high schools do not have, what are the supports?
AVID class, Advisory, small class sizes, respectful culture and environment.
When participating in a drill (fire, lockdown, tornado, etc), what should I do?
Take the drill seriously. All drills are a practice for what to do in a real emergency.
What are you allowed to drink while in class?
Only water.

When a teacher is not in their classroom, I should...?
line up at the door in a single file line until the teacher arrives.
Think about why you came to ECHS, what is that reason?
Answers will vary but should include the opportunity to graduate with not only a high school diploma but also an Associate's degree.
As I leave ECHS to attend college classes, what can I do to ensure my personal safety?
Be aware of your surroundings, look both ways when crossing roads (use the crosswalk), if something or someone looks out of place, report it.
What should I do in order to respect my classmates?
By working quietly and not disturbing their work, plus being respectful with them.
