What do you do when you want to talk in class?
By raising you hand quietly until you are called on.
What do you do for a lockdown in Ms. Gentile's room?
Sit silently against the wall between the door and library.
What can we do at recess?
Talk with friends, and hands off play with friends.
What do you do if you have a question when the teacher is at small group?
Ask 3 before me! Ask 3 friends for help before asking the teacher.
Explain what you should do when you hear the doorbell or Ms. Gentile claps.
Stop what I'm doing, look at Ms. Gentile and stop talking. Silent room to hear next directions.
What does WORK TIME sound like?
Silent! Respectful of all learners. Whisper please if you need anything.
What does voice level 0 mean?
Voices are completely turned off.
What do you do if you finish your work early?
Read a book independently, complete a word search, write in your writing notebook.
What should I do if I don't have a pencil?
Go get one from the pencil bucket.
How can you show the speaker that you are giving them your full attention?
Give 5...ears listening, eyes watching, hands and feet are still, mouth closed.
How do students respect other students things?
By not touching them or destroying them. If you want to borrow something or look at something, you need to ask nicely first. If they say no, respect their answer and ask someone else.
When can I use the bathroom?
During work time, not during lesson time. You still need to ask the teacher before you go and you must sign out. Only one student at a time. Unless it is an emergency.
How many people should be in the bathroom at one time?
ONE!
How do we act at small group table? What do you do when it's not your turn at small group?
You sit nicely in your chair, do small group work together, then walk back to your desk.
If it's not your turn at small group, you're doing work quietly at your desk.
How much effort should you put into your work?
100%
How do you know what to work on at the start of class?
Look at the slide on the smart board or the white board.
When can I sharpen my pencil?
During morning business or worktime. Not during teaching or lesson time.
Where can you turn in your homework?
In the Turn In Tray near the windows.
How should you walk in the hallway at all times?
Silently, in a single file line, with your hands to your side.
Who gets to sit in the comfy recliner chairs at the back of the room?
Students who are working hard, and at an appropriate volume. They will be chosen by Ms. Gentile.
How can you respect others?
By listening to them, having patience with each other, taking turns sharing, using nice words, and practicing self space.

How do we walk back into the room?
Walk in quietly and sit in your seat, and wait for directions.
What do you have to do when given permission and have a pass to leave the classroom?
Go directly to the place/person you have permission to go to, have your pass signed, then come right back to class as soon as you're done.
What should you do if Ms. Gentile is talking with another adult that walks into the classroom?
Should you get up and try talking to either teacher?
