How do you know what to write for bellwork?
Look at the board and read what question or prompt you must write about.
How do you ask to go to the bathroom without interrupting class?
Show me the "crossed fingers" sign and Mr. G will give you a yes or no.
What 3 words are most important in Mr. G's room?
Respect, Kindness, and Learning!
What can you do if you need a break? Maybe it's because your upset or angry.
Getting mad or getting into an argument NEVER helps. Instead.... Check in with yourself. First ask then put your head down, walk to the water fountain, go to a different spot in the room (with permission).
What do you do when you come into our classroom?
1. Come in with your inside voices.
2. Do your morning checklist.
3. Start on bellwork.
Where can I find a pencil?
In the mug on Mr. G's desk.
What is Rule #1
Respect others and this place.
How do you solve simple problems in gym?
Rock, Paper, Scissors.
How many sentences do you need in your morning bellwork to be finished?
As of right now... 3 full sentences.
What does each voice level colour (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow) mean?
Red - No talking.
Blue - Whisper.
Green - Table Talk.
Yellow - One at a time (Class discussion).
What is Rule #2?
Listen with your Eyes and Ears!
You lost your favourite pencil but at the end of the day you see someone using it. What should've that person done when they found the pencil on the ground?
That person that found the pencil should've put it in the lost and found.
Scenario: Let's say your friend is talking when it is RED LIGHT and working time. What is Mr.G going to do?
Check in, give 2 verbal warnings.
What do you do if you don't know how to spell a word?
1st - Look in your dictionary.
2nd - If you cannot find the word, as a neighbour quietly if you feel comfortable.
3rd - Raise your hand for Mr.G to come to you.
When is a good time to go get a drink of water, sharpen your pencil, etc.
During work time. NOT WHEN MR.G IS GIVING INSTRUCTIONS!

Follow directions quickly and quietly.
What does a good good classroom discussion look like?
Everyone is participating. Not shouting or interrupting others. Having respect for everyone's ideas
Your friend has been talked to by Mr.G 2 times for talking during silent work time. What will happen if your friend continues?
Move your friend to a different spot to focus.
What are the three things in your morning checklist when you come into class in the morning?
1. Go to the bathroom if you need to.
2. Fill up your water bottle if you need to.
3. Have a pencil ready for bellwork.
What are the 3 things you must do before you leave for recess?
Push in your chairs, clean any garbage or mess you have made accidently, make sure our desks are in their proper places and clean.

How do I earn points for "The Monkeys"?
Any 3 of these will work: Follow directions quickly and quietly (Example: When Mr. G says to get out your Social Folder), Be Respectful, Be Kind to Others, Clean up your messes, Have another staff member compliment our class.
Your friend has moved to a different spot because they were talking to much during silent work time. But, your friend has started distracting the people around them again. What is Mr. G going to do now?
Have you fill out a "Think Sheet" to think about ways to avoid being distracted and distracting others. IF this continues, parents will be contacted.
