What do you do when you want to talk in class?
By raising your hand quietly until you are picked.
What do you do when you first come in to my room every day?
Come in quietly and wait for directions.
What do you do if someone is being unkind to you?
You will ask the person being unkind to stop. If it continues you will report it to the teacher.
What do you do if you have a question when the teacher is at small group/round table?
3 before me! Ask 3 friends for help before asking the teacher.
How will I know when to start an activity if my teacher is giving directions?
Wait until she finishes giving directions.
What does work time sound like?
Level 0- or voices off, unless you have permission to talk, then level 1 or whisper.
What are ways you may lose conduct?
Talking, Disrespect, Hallway, Lunchroom, etc.
What do you do if you finish your work early?
Early Finishers- read, IXL, library, etc.
What does it mean when the teacher says you can work around the room?
You may pick a partner, and get a rocking chair, or pillow, and whisper with your partner around the room.
How can you show the speaker that you are giving them your full attention?
Give 5...ears listening, eyes watching, hands and feet are still, mouth closed.
How do students respect other students things?
By not touching them or destroying them. If you want to borrow something or look at something, you need to ask nicely first. If they say no, respect their answer and ask someone else.
If it is an emergency and I need to use the restroom, what do you need to do?
You need to raise your hand and show the signal.
What should you do with items that you find in the classroom and don't know who they belong to?
How do we act at when sitting at our desks?
You sit nicely in your chair, do your work, and listen to the teachers instructions.
What is Mrs. Koogler's unspoken rule?
BE HONEST and tell the truth.
Where do you turn in any finished work?
In the green bin, unless the teacher tells you to bring it to her.
When can I sharpen my pencil?
When you hold up the number 1 and the teacher gives your permission.
What do you do if you make a mess or spill something on the floor?
You clean it up- sweep or wipe it up
What should you do if you are missing a supply like crayons, pencil, scissors, or glue?
Borrow one from the class supplies, or ask a neighbor if they are willing to share.
Taking turns, hands and feet to self, using nice words, including others, etc.
How can you respect others?
By listening to them, taking turns sharing, and using nice words, and keeping your hands to yourself.
How do we line up to leave the room?
You line up in alphabetical order.
How do we walk back into the room?
What do you do if their is a fire drill?
Stop what you are doing and silently line up at the door. Do not move until the teacher gives the direction.
What should you do if I give the "give me 5 signal?"
Stop what I am doing, look at the teacher and stop talking when my fist is at zero.
