Only when you know the source of the fire, and when the fire is small. Otherwise it is not your job to put out the fire; it is your job to get to safety.
What are at least three ways you can prevent heat-related medical problems?
Drink plenty of water even if you're not thirsty, take breaks in the shade or ideally in A/C, dress for the heat/wear a hat, light colored clothing, monitor yourself and others for fatigue.
What is a "professional relationship?"
A relationship you have with someone because of your job; interactions should be work-related, not personal, and professional boundaries should be set and upheld to protect all staff.
What is the fire triangle?
Oxygen, Fuel, Heat. The three required ingredients that allow a fire to burn.
What do you do to help someone suffering from hypothermia?
Call 911, get the person to a warm room or vehicle, remove wet clothing (replace with dry if possible), place warmed bottles or hot packs in armpits, around chest and in groin area, and wrap in dry blankets.
Why are economic transactions prohibited among employees?
Leads to perceived or real favoritism, entitlement for favors/future transactions, and crosses professional boundaries. Also, because it is against policy.
What is an N95 and when must you use it?
A type of mask that CCC will provide to you when the air quality is affected by wildfire smoke. All must wear an N95 when the AQI is 251+ and people with certain health conditions are required to wear an N95 at 101+.
What is the easiest way to protect yourself in cold conditions?
Wear appropriate clothing for rain, wind, puddles, and cold. Wear layers, waterproof shoes, warm socks, and headwear. Bring extra clothes to change into if you plan to get wet (which you will).
You now work at CCC. If your spouse/partner then also gets a job at CCC, even if it's in a different department than you, do you need to do anything?
Yes, you should both report to HR that you are in a relationship and you will fill out a form. Relationships are allowed, but must be disclosed.
