Therefore, the result produced it is considered to be an accurate representation of that individuals current level depression. Weakness is that it relies on self report of the individual. As the person may will be depressed, the views given as answers to the statements may not be how the person is truly feeling.(people have distorted cognition about the world and themselves). so in general is always a weakness anyways due to its possibility affecting validity
