Turn on the phone, begin the duty log, email Public Safety

A parent calls the duty phone and is concerned because they have not heard from their child. You respond with:

"Thank you for calling. If they do live here, we will pass a message on to them"

I complete community walks at the following times (Sunday-Thursday):

4:30pm, 7:00pm, once between 8pm-11pm, and around midnight

While serving office hours, I should be:

awake, alert, not using headphones, not watching or listening to anything with inappropriate language, and the office light should be on

When I pick up and return the phone, I should:

thoroughly clean the phone with either a cleaning wipe or a paper towel that has been saturated with the Virex solution

Make sure you are appropriately dressed, grab your keys, ID, and badge, and respond to the student in a timely manner

To properly check a door, I should:

Pull on the door from the outside to make sure it is secure, swipe my ID and make sure it unlocks properly, let it shut and make sure it locks back, swipe my ID again and walk through the door and make sure you can exit through the door
