Sit w/ discomfort without feeding it. This reinforces the natural cycle of habitation and will lessen the anxiety response to the stimulus overtime.

My anxiety is at a 4, what coping skills can I use?
CBT based skills: urge surfing, leaves on a stream, mindfulness activities, loving kindness mediation, grief meditation, etc.. At a 4 we can use more CBT based skills that require more of our "thinking brain" to work. When anxiety reaches higher than 5 these parts shutdown and we need crisis-based skills.
