Complete the Risk Assessment within 30 days to determine if the youth is appropriate for selective, indicated, or both services and if not, refer them to Guidance.

Every 30 days and a formal Prevention Plan Review every 60 days

Trainings throughout the year and many are yearly through Eckerd U; the Prevention Team offers trainings; staff are encouraged to find trainings and share them with the team

Definition of Risk Assessment
Within the referral for services, it is the initial contact with youth, family, or school which serves to assess the appropriateness for the level of Prevention services, determine the youth's risk factors, greatest needs, and protective factors that indicate the youth's strengths

What you do after the immediate steps for handling an incident (file a report)
Notify your supervisor (after notifying the school to ensure the student's safety), file a DCF report (if necessary), complete Eckerd's incident reporting forms (if necessary), and make a plan with your supervisor to best support the student's wellbeing
