This is the first thing that should be done when the code cart arrives

This is where you would find epinephrine in the code cart

These are required to be placed on every page of the code blue record

This is the person responsible for notifying the attending physician when there is a code blue
Who is the primary nurse?
This person is responsible for "running the code"

This is the drawer that you would find supplies for starting an IV
What is the "needles" drawer?
Without this, orders given during a code are not valid
What are Physician's signatures?
Hyperkalemia, hypomagnesemia, and hypo/hypercalcemia are all exampled of this, which can cause cardiopulmonary arrest
What are electrolyte imbalances?
This is the person responsible for discussing the events of the code blue with the patient's family if they are present during the code
Who is the code blue team leader/attending physician?
This person is responsible for intubating the patient, if necessary
Who is anesthesiologist/CRNA?
This is where you would find the CO2 detector in the code cart?
What is the ABG drawer?
This is where the recorder should document during the code

This is a cardiac rhythm that is characterized by a series of uncoordinated, rapid contractions of the ventricles

This emergency team's purpose is to prevent a code blue

This person helps facilitate the transfer of a patient, if necessary

This is used for difficult intubations and is usually stored on top of the code cart or hanging from a hook on the side of the code cart
