Although I want you to strive to get a festival time and push yourself to get your best time, you are only in control of what you do in the race, not the outcomes.

As a swimmer, I am responsible for my actions, and there will be consequences for my actions. This included all accept: 

A) hitting another swimmer

B) calling a swimmer names/insulting them 

C) judging/making fun of another swimmer based on their race/ethnicity/gender. 

D) none of the above, I am responsible for all inappropriate behavior and I am not allowed in practice if I do any of the things listed above

As a club, we love and care for every single person in this club and we expect our swimmers to do the same. If a swimmer acts in an inappropriate way, they will be kicked out of practice with no exceptions.

Before: 

1) to know your heat and lane 

2) to discuss with your coach your swim plan for the race and to have your coach give you tips before you swim 

After: 

1) to refelct on your race with your coach for your growth as a swimmer

2) to receive feedback from your caoch because they watched your race and they may want you to make some changes in your stroke

Pypers mom could of congratulate Pyper on her best time and support her swimmer so that they feel good about their successes

Dylan was racing in the 200 IM. When the buzzer went off the stop watches malfunctioned and the refs dropped the rope. He sees the rope as he is swimming fly. 

What should Dylan do? 

STOP. Becuase the timer will give him a second chance to swim the race.
