Plaster starts out like water, once it starts to set it turns to the consistency of paint, then a milk shake, then frosting and then cement. This happens quickly.

Its very strong and is literally china white when fired.

The more undercuts the more parts to the mold or pieces cast separately
What mold making material would you use to cast your hand and why?
Algenate. It is non toxic and easily unmoldable.
Why do you use hot water when mixing plaster?
It sets faster

Why can you never ever ever pour liquid plaster down the sink?
It will clog it forever when it gets hard
Describe how to mix plaster set by step
Put on safety PPE (respirator, gloves etc)
Get hot water, you can measure the volume by pouring the water around your object to be cast.
Pour plaster into water until it makes a mountain in the center
Use a spoon to mix until all the clumps are gone
Watch until it starts to turn the consistency of a milkshake
Spray mold with PAM
Pour
Tap out the bubbles

Explain why something that looks simple and clean using casting or any other art form might actually be hard to make?
Simple well crafted objects take a significant amount of pre-planning and design revision. The cleaner it is chances are the harder it was to do.
Why don't you want to use plaster to cast body parts?
It gets hot and you would be stuck in the mold while it burns you.
Is exhibition mandatory
