Alcohol, CNS depressants, anticonvulsants, antihistamines, barbiturates, narcotics, TCAs, oral contraceptives, St. John's Wort, Cigarettes < serum level by 50%

What is Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, sodium bicarbonate, < effects of levedopa containing drugs

Acute narrow glaucoma, pulmonary disease, alone in primary depression or psychotic disorders, bipolar disorders, organic brain disorder

What are N/I of Rivastigmine?
Give with food, Monitor cognitive function and ability to preform ADLs, Withhold drugs & notify HCP if N&V, anorexia,wt. loss occurs, monitor ambulation- safety (dizziness), monitor diabetics for loss of glycemic control, weight pt. weekly, overdose: severe N&V, sweating, salivation, hypotension, bradycardia, convulsions, > muscle weakness
What are interactions of Rivastigmine?
Succinylcholine, attenuate effects of anticholinergic agents

Headache upon awakening, Drowsiness, Fatigue, Lethargy, Sleepwalking
What are nursing interventions for Memantine?
What is Assess for and report S/S of focal neurologic deficits, Monitor diabetics for loss of glycemic control, Monitor LFTs, renal function, urine pH, Report to HCP: vision problems, skin rash, SOB, swelling of throat/tongue, agitation/restlessness, confusuion, dizziness, incontinence, & Do not drive until reaction to drug is known.
