A place people go to get certifications for specific jobs (mechanic, cosmetologist, electrician)
What is a Trade/Technical School?
Colleges love seeing good grades in these three types of courses in particular on students' transcripts (must get all three)
What is Honors, Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment
Though it may seem scary at times, this can make all the difference when taking challenging courses
What is asking for help?
This online resource has a Career Assessment is a great way to learn more about possible career interests. It is also used in the college application process.
Naviance
This type of activity is a great way to give back to your community and is also a great thing to have on your resume for colleges and jobs
What is volunteering?
This event is somewhere people go to learn all about different types of jobs at once from the people that already work there
What is a career fair?
This test is something students will take starting in ninth grade to prepare for a certain college readiness exam.
What is the Practice SAT or PSAT?
These two words will help me get great grades, which will help me get money to pay for college
