One effect was that lords were forced to sell their manors to raise money, which hurt feudalism, and royal families began to grow power. What were the major events of the 2nd and 3rd crusades and the results?
The Turks conquered the city of edessa, and so the Christians launched another crusade, but they were badly defeated. Saladin conquered Jerusalem so king Richard led the third crusade. At the end of the third crusade, the Turks and the Christians made a truce. Saladin said Christians could pilgrimage to Jerusalem safely and without having to pay tribute. The city of Jerusalem was then completely under Muslim control.
