Why do we have chores? How should chores be done? When do we start chores and why?
So that the unit is clean and safe. So clients can learn new skills. Chores should be done well. We start chores when everyone is done eating so that no one feels rushed and everyone is out of the way.
Why do we have rules about boundaries?
safety. we live in the same space. not appropriate. can trigger people.
What are three ways that we respect our environment?
cleaning up after ourselves, not vandalizing, dont break or destroy things.
What are the 3 reasons as to why you can come out of your room during SQBY or room time?
Water, bathroom, and emergency.
What time is room time? Why do we have room time?
8:30PM. So clients have a schedule to follow, so clients can wind down for the night, so that peers can go to sleep.
Why can't clients be in the laundry room or bathrooms together?
Narrow space and it is unsafe.
What are 3 ways that we can respect our peers?
not name calling, not instigating/antagonizing, not gossiping, not touching/using/stealing their belongings, no physical/verbal aggression, no bigotry (sexism, racism, homophobia, ableism, body shaming/etc.), you use their preferred pronouns and names, not comparing them to other peers, you respect their boundaries, and not talking about peers that are not present. Treat others the way YOU would like to be treated.

Something Quiet By Yourself. 1:00PM-2:00PM. Door closed. Clients can regulate themselves and transition from lunch to the next scheduled activity.
What is the definition of consent?
Consent is permission for something to happen or agreement to do something.

to gain deservedly in return for one's behavior or achievements. Clients have to have safe behaviors and participate in group activities to receive EFT.
Why do we have a schedule and routine?
Safety and security. We should know what the day will look like and have it be predictable to limit anxiety/stress. So we don't live in anarchy.
What are boundaries?
the limits and rule that we set within relationships to protect ourselves. (can be in clients own works obvi)
No self-harming, not using negative self talk, not going AWOL, not self-sabotaging, you DO take medications, eating regularly, completing hygiene, keep room clean, advocate for your needs to be met by parents and workers, and upholding your own boundaries.
What is a crisis? Where should you be? Why?
a crisis is escalated and threatening to harm themselves or other. in rooms or safe space away from crisis. so that staff can handle crisis to the best of their capabilities in a safe way.
